Another reason for rejoicing:  The "Merano International Wine Festival"  has chosen the Dveri Pax Winery for the " the "International Top Selection - selected for Merano International Wine Festival & Culinaria 2009" award.

The 18th Merano International Wine Festival  rook place from 7th to 9th November 2009 as part of the Merano Wine Festival and Gourmet in the Merano Kurhaus.

The Merano International Wine Festival is an exclusive wine and culinary event of an international standard that takes place on the second weekend in November in the elegant Kurhaus in Merano and is only open to porducers of quality products.

In order to participate, wines must be sent to the Festival.  These are tasted and marked by a committee of sommeliers, wine shop owners and restauranteurs on a 100/100 points system.  The wines chosen for the Merano International Wine Festival must have a score of at least 85/100 and give the taster indications of origin, tradition, culture and life.  These wines must accentuate their personality through intensity, complexity and elegance, wines with character and elite features.  The wines are divided into wine-growing regions and added to the order of precedence of the Merano international Wine Festival.

A final tasting decides which wines are accepted for the event.
